The Board has established 9 Standing Committees for the ongoing study of major areas of responsibility.
One or more Trustees participate on each of the 9 standing committees. The committees meet regularly to discuss the issues that are important to teachers, students and Parkland School Division staff.

Student Advisory Committee
Parkland's Board of Trustees meets with students in the jurisdiction to learn of issues important to them and to seek their advice on a variety of topics. Meeting venues will be publicized through the local paper.

Education Committee
The Board meets to discuss issues around the curriculum and programs, as well as to celebrate student achievements.
Committee Recommendations are forwarded to and voted on at regular scheduled Board meetings.
