Emilie Keane, currently Acting Associate Superintendent for Parkland School Division No. 70 has been appointed Associate Superintendent, Learning Services. Keane replaces Ben Beil who retired in March.
“Mrs. Keane brings to the table 27 years of teaching and administrative experience,” said Tim Monds, Parkland’s Superintendent of Schools. “Her terms as Acting Associate Superintendent with Parkland School Division, Assistant Superintendent and Division Principal with Greater St. Albert Catholic Regional Division along with one Principalship, two Vice-Principalships and many years of teaching, gives Mrs. Keane a wide repertoire of leadership and management skills. I am thrilled to have Mrs. Keane join the Senior Executive Team and look forward to her wisdom and expertise to help the jurisdiction fulfill its mission to create learning environments through which children achieve enduring success.”
Under the portfolio of Associate Superintendent, Learning Services, Mrs. Keane will be responsible for overseeing the areas of Student Services, Curriculum, Accountability Pillar, Action on Inclusion and Innovation in Education including educational technology. Mrs. Keane will also be involved in strategic planning, with daily operational responsibilities for designated schools in the Division.
Mrs. Keane’s educational background includes a Masters in Education – Administrative Leadership from the University of Portland and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta.
