The Board of Trustees for Parkland School Division is proud to announce that Tim Monds has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Schools and Chief Executive Officer for the Division effective immediately.
Richard Gilchrist, Board Chair, stated that, “Mr. Monds brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served as a teacher, school-based administrator at the elementary and secondary levels, Assistant and Deputy Superintendent for Northern Gateway Public Schools, and as Deputy Superintendent, and most recently, Acting Superintendent for Parkland School Division. His areas of expertise include Human Resources, policy development, facility planning, leadership development, Occupational Health and Safety, planning and reporting, staff growth and supervision, professional development, and public relations.”
Tim Monds is a proven leader with outstanding strengths in interpersonal relationships. “I have a strong belief in collaboration and transparency and strive to build a strong, vibrant and visionary team to meet the changing needs of Parkland’s unique communities. I believe that success in achieving excellence in schools depends upon collaborative and dynamic teams that are motivated and energized to improve student learning, and that strong partnerships with parents and community are essential to the education of all children. I am committed to maintaining open communication and positive relationships with Parkland’s school communities through community engagement and am dedicated to students and their learning. This is the driving force in the work that I undertake as Parkland School Division’s Superintendent, and I look forward to work with the Board of Trustees and the Division’s administrative teams in providing quality educational programs and services to all students.”
