Archie Lilico Parkland School Division’s Superintendent of Schools Tim Monds is proud to announce that Archie Lillico, currently the Principal of Muir Lake School, has been appointed Principal of Stony Plain Central School beginning fall 2011.

“Archie’s diverse experiences within Parkland School Division will ensure he is a strong resource for staff and students as he moves into his new position,” says Tim Monds, Superintendent of Schools. “His background teaching grades kindergarten through nine along with his leadership positions both at Duffield School and Muir Lake School will be tremendous assets.”

Mr. Lillico joined the Parkland School Division team 20 years ago. Over 10 of those years were spent at Duffield School both teaching and in Assistant Principal and Principal roles. In September of 2007, Mr. Lillico took over the helm at Muir Lake School.

Mr. Lillico has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/History and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta along with a Master of Education degree from the University of Portland. His dedication to lifelong learning has seen him certified to instruct Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Franklin Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to PSD staff.

“I am pleased and honored to join the staff at Stony Plain Central in the capacity of Principal,” states Lillico. “I look forward to the collaborative work that we will be pursuing as staff, parents and students to move our children further into the 21st century. “
