Ecole Broxton Staff Invited to Facilitate at Early Years Symposium

We are excited about this opportunity to collaborate with early childhood professionals and practitioners from across Alberta, and to learn more about program innovations that offer a variety of possibilities for inclusive practices to enhance learning and education of all children.

Michael Hubick, Principal, Barb Holden, Assistant Principal, and CLICK program coordinators Michelle Nider and Anne Muir will be facilitating a session focusing on Parkland School Division’s Children Learning in Inclusive Community Settings and Kindergartens (CLICK) program. This program designs developmentally appropriate programming for children aged 2  ½  to 5 years with special needs such as identified needs in speech/language development, fine and gross motor  and/or social or emotional challenges. These children benefit from individualized programming in the natural environments of the child - at home, in the community and in the school.

The CLICK program’s designated site is at École Broxton Park School. The CLICK program coordinators and learning teams have worked with the division’s school communities to expand the program to three satellite sites, seventeen schools, and a growing number of playschools, daycares and homes throughout Parkland School Division.
