Parkland School Division will be holding Public Information Open Houses on the System Review – Phase II on the following dates, at the indicated locations, from 7-8:30pm.
- Monday March 7, 2011 : (Stony Plain Zone) Memorial Composite High School cafeteria.
- Tuesday March 8, 2011: (Spruce Grove Zone) Greystone Centennial Middle School gymnasium.
- Tuesday March 22, 2011: (West Parkland Zone) Seba Beach School gymnasium.
The purpose of the Public Information Open House will be to display information on: Public feedback from System Review Phase I; System Review Phase II purpose; Phase II process plan and schedule; System Review revised planning principles; Proposals will be presented to reduce overcrowding at schools with growing enrolments by:
- Limiting cross boundary students.
- Optimizing space by creating additional internal spaces.
- Adding core portable classrooms if provincial funding is available, and the facility and site can accommodate the additional classrooms.
- Boundary changes.
Information will be displayed on panels with handouts being available upon entry. Comment sheets will be available. Parkland School Division Trustees, Senior Administration and Managers will be available to answer questions. A supervised childcare area will be available.
