When the Millgrove playground was being constructed, bricks were sold as a fundraiser. These bricks were personalized and the playground was lined with them.
Unfortunately, the bricks have not stood up to our climate and the names are no longer legible. And they became a safety hazard because they did not stay in place, so it was decided to remove them.
It is important to us that those who contributed to this fundraiser continue to be acknowledged. A very creative metal recognition sign for all the playground sponsors including those who purchased a brick will be placed near the playground.
What will happen to the 250 bricks?
After much deliberation, School Council has decided to hold a lottery for all 250 bricks. The bricks are “as is” and you will need to pick them up on or before June 22.
To enter your name, email your contact information to Millgrove School Council at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A winner will be drawn on Tuesday, June 12, so make sure you enter before then.
