Student Celebrations 

Throughout the year, Parkland School Division hosts several celebrations of student achievement in a variety of curricular areas. These include:

  • Choral Music Celebration
  • Speech Arts Festival
  • Visual Arts Celebrations
  • WordWorks Publication

Choral Music Celebration

Every spring, early years, middle years, and senior high choirs from across Parkland School Division meet to share in a celebration of choral music at its Choral Music Celebration. 

Speech Arts Festival

Accompanied by their teachers, Grade 8 & 9 students from across Parkland School Division, come together to present prepared speeches on topics of their choice. Regional Competitions are held during the day in the last week of February. Final Competitions are held in the evening in the second week of March. Both the Regional and Final Competitions are held in the Board Room, at the Centre for Education.

Visual Arts Celebrations

The Visual Arts Celebration is a showcase of selected early years, middle years and senior high art work displayed for the enjoyment of students, parents, and school communities of Parkland School Division. Schools take turns hosting the event which occurs each year at the beginning of May.   

WordWorks Publication

WordWorks is Parkland School Division’s quarterly magazine that celebrates the writing of students in Kindergarten through Grade 12.
