REAL Program

Parkland School Division offers a variety of low-enrolment, specialized educational settings, which allow students with exceptional needs to be grouped together. This allows opportunities for specialized instruction and access to required supports and services to be maximized. Despite these groupings, each child's needs within this setting are highly individual and will be served through an "Individualized Program Plan" (IPP).

Each specialized program offers a team approach, consisting of parents, teachers, educational assistants, therapists, and administrative support. Supportive services from school-based staff in the areas of occupational therapy; physical therapy and community support work are available to students as needed. Speech-language therapy services are accessed through Alberta Health Services using their referral / prioritization system.

This program is offered at École Broxton Park School.
