Registration Fees 

Each year our Board approves a fee schedule that outlines the costs of instructional, school based, transportation, and non-resident students.

Most fees are payable on the first day of school.

Instructional Material Fees

The Province of Alberta School Act allows school jurisdictions to charge fees for instructional materials as they deem necessary.

The instructional material fees (IMF) cover the following:

Textbook Rental

Textbooks are used over and over. Rather than students having to purchase textbooks, the Board supplies them at approximately 1/3 of the actual cost of the books.

Consumables

Consumables are workbooks and materials that cannot be passed on to other students. Printed workbooks, photocopied material and supplies for certain projects are provided throughout the year, none of which can be used again.

The Family Plan

The maximum charge for instructional material fees is $280/family under our family plan. 

• Applies to students in Grades 1 - 12.
• Excludes Kindergarten students.
• Applies to instructional material fees only. 
• Individual school fees and transportation fees are separate. 

Note: If you have children attending more than one school in Parkland School Division, you may pay all fees at one school or at our head office using one form. Please advise each school that you have paid instructional material fees using the family plan.

Individual School Based Fees

Individual school fees for agendas, field trips, lockers, special school activities, etc. may also apply to your child’s program/school registration. Fees vary by school and/or for specific programs. Please visit your designated school to find out more information about individual school fees and if they apply to you.

Process for Payment of all Instructional Material Fees

• Complete the Instructional Material Rental Fee Form 
  
  • Include all children and the schools they will be attending.
• Submit the form with payment either to the school of your choice or to our main office. We accept Master Card, Visa, Debit, and cheque at this location:

Transportation Fees

Your transportation fees vary depending on your proximity to your designated school.  Please visit Student Transportation to confirm your fees and methods of payment.

Non-Resident Tuition Fees

Students who reside outside Parkland School Division boundaries and wish to attend one of our schools may be required to pay a non-resident tuition fee. For more information on non-resident tuition fees, view our Fees & Allowances Schedule.
