As with all aspects of our society, technology is playing a greater role for people in the work that they do. Connections For Learning believes that providing our students with opportunities to use technology in authentic ways is important for students to develop their knowledge and skill in using technology.
For students who are working on site at CFL, laptops are available for sign out by students. This sometimes occurs through class projects where students are working together and sometimes by individual students who need to complete specific assignments. The laptops are not available for home use.
Parent Partnership families in Grades 1 – 9 are encouraged to include computer learning as part of the home option programming that they create for their children. Funds for home education grants can be directed toward technology items if this is part of the program designed for the child(ren).
High school students are able to access computer instruction either by contracting courses from ADLC or through teacher delivered lessons weekly.
