We’d like to thank all our staff, parent and community volunteers for their time and enthusiasm over the last weekend at the Alberta Winter Games. We hosted 60 athletes, coaches and chaperones from the Male Speed Skating zones, and enjoyed every minute of it! We were very impressed with the organization of the games, and with the people we met. We even received a thank you from one of the coaches:
Dear Forest Green School,
Thank you so much for the hospitality you all extended my Zone 1 speed skating team. The boys and I enjoyed the research the students at Forest Green did into our sport. We hope that some of them will consider giving it a try some day. I can't say enough about the Mayor and volunteers at the school. We were made to feel very welcome and the available activities helped to keep our boys from being bored in their off time. For your information Zone 1 took home 3 gold and 1 bronze from the games. Anyway, back to training for the Canada West Championships in March. Thanks again for everything.
