My name is Colleen Woloshyn and it is my absolute pleasure and privilege to begin my fifth year at High Park School. I am passionate about education and believe that children are successful when parents, students and staff work together to provide a positive and supportive learning environment. When I am not engaged in school activities, I enjoy golfing, hiking, cycling and spending time with my family and friends. My husband and I just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and we are the very proud parents of three sons aged 18, 22 and 25.

I feel so very blessed and fortunate to be working at High Park. My husband and I have two grown children and live on acreage west of Stony Plain.

My name is Patty Monds. I teach two full day classes of kindergarten at High Park School. Most of my teaching career has been in kindergarten and grade one. I love this age group and believe education is a journey where all students are encouraged to be creative, use their imagination and explore in a caring environment.

My name is Mrs. Pawluk and I am so excited to be teaching grade one again this year at High Park. I love watching those young minds explore, create and imagine, as they soak up new facts and information! When I am not at school I love to read, spend time outdoors and enjoy "family time" with my husband and two wonderful children. My wish is that each one of my students will develop a love for learning and blossom into a well-rounded, responsible and successful individual.

Hello, I'm Miss Fordyce and I've had the opportunity to teach at High Park since the school first opened. I teach Grade Two and enjoy learning and sharing with my students. I enjoy spending time with my hamsters and playing in oceans whenever I get the chance.

Hi, my name is Christine Janewski. I am very excited to be back at High Park School sharing grade 2B with Mrs. Elizabeth Paterson Baron. I am also looking forward to working with the staff at High Park School in the capacity of the Learning Coach. I am passionate about early literacy, especially Balanced Literacy. After teaching for 13 years, I continue to absolutely love what I do each day, working with my students, watching them grow and develop. In my spare time, I enjoy horseback riding, reading, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

My name is Mrs. Kowaluk and I am privileged to have been a member of the High Park staff since the school opened. I started my career teaching in a junior high special education program which I absolutely loved, then made the jump into grade three where I still teach today. I am passionate about teaching children of all abilities; exploring new techniques to help them grow in confidence and skill while endeavouring to spark an enthusiasm for life long learning. I am a proud mother of two very busy boys and an avid lover of sports.

I am delighted to be teaching grade three again this school year and am looking forward to sharing in a an exciting, busy and stimulating year. I have a strong background in literacy and numeracy and love to share these important skills with my class through fun and interesting projects and assignments. I enjoy yoga, baking and looking after my grandson in my free time.

I teach grade 5 at High Park and I really enjoy what I do. I love children of all ages and it makes my day to make their day. Humour and caring are at the basis of my time with these kids and I like them to feel happiness when they think of their school experience. I am very passionate about literacy, writing, numeracy and technology and focus my teaching around these very important things.

Bonjour! I’m Mrs. Andria Byfield and I teach French and Phys. Ed. This is my second year at High Park, and I am so excited for the year ahead! I love what I do because I get to spend time teaching, coaching, and learning with some of the greatest people in the world. I live near Morinville on an acreage with my husband (Silas), my son (Finn), my Great Dane (Wally) and my cat (Bucky). I love all sports, but especially basketball, volleyball, soccer, and running. I have run 5 half marathons and I hope to do a full marathon in 2013. There are so many exciting things happening at High Park - it’s going to be a great year!

I taught here from the opening of the school until 2000, spent the intervening time at Graminia School, and feel privileged to rejoin the HPS staff this year. I already feel like I’m at home. I will be teaching grade 7 math, science and Phys. Ed. I love to get kids involved in physical activity and play. Outside of school I enjoy walking my dog, Dusty, gardening, golfing and spending time with friends.

Greetings! This year I have the distinct pleasure of teaching Grade 8 and 9 Math and Grade 7,8, and 9 Phys. Ed. Although born, raised, trained and worked in Parkland, I return from my last teaching assignment in the United Kingdom. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, skiing, and playing team sports such as volleyball, basketball and baseball. I look forward to working with all the students at High Park this year and helping them aspire to their dreams of the future.

Hi, my name is Glenn Thompson. I'm teaching Math 8, English 8, Social 8, and Science 8 at High Park School. The school has an amazing staff, a strong community, and great students. As a teacher, I am highly motivated to help all students utilize their inner strength and abilities and truly discover what inspires them. My goal is to provide an inclusive and innovative learning environment based on mutual respect that encourages students to see that they are in control of and shape their own lives, thereby fostering their confidence to allow them to reach their full potential. I'm looking forward to a great year at High Park.

In this the 20th year for High Park, I’m proud to say I’ve been here (almost) the whole time and still love to come to work each day. I feel proud to work with students who care – about themselves, each other and our communities. They are such wonderful people to share learning with. I teach grade nine Humanities and grade seven to nine options. I have a keen interest in using computers to support learning, environmental education and empowering students to be better citizens. When not involved at school, I love reading, cycling, downhill skiing and travelling. I love my iPad and the world it opens up to my students and I.

My name is Kristy Schiltroth and this is my first year teaching at High Park. I teach grade 8 and 9 science, grade 8 math and 7-9 options. I am very excited to be part of the tight-knit community that is High Park, working with junior high students both in class and in extracurricular activities, helping them to achieve their best. Outside of school, I love to spend time with my husband, play basketball, draw and read.
