Duffield School's Sea-Can storage unit has been settling for the past two years, and now moisture trapped under it is beginning to affect the hardwood floor of the unit. If we can’t raise it up somehow and block it, our floor will rot out and it will no longer be serviceable. We store all of our track and field equipment in the Sea-Can, so it is very important that something is done before it is too late!
We are looking for anyone in the community with equipment able to lift the ends of the sea-can and place some large timbers under it. We think this is a viable solution, as it will create an air space between the damp ground and the wooden floor of the unit.
