Student Safety

Student safety is of prime importance to Parkland School Division. We have several measures and procedures in place to ensure the safety of all who attend our schools:

Youth Mental Health Clinics (YMHC)

The WestView Primary Care Network operates the Youth Mental Health Clinic (YMHC), a specialty clinic for youth aged 11 to 24 who live in the Tri-Region. This Clinic offers wrap-around mental health services for youth aged 11 to 24 who live in the Tri-Region, through a multidisciplinary team consisting of Physicians, Registered Social Workers, a Behavioral Health Consultant, Youth Therapists, and Community Connectors. The main focus of the clinic is diagnosing and managing ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Find out more including the difference between community-based YMHC and the school-located YMHC.
